Ethical Reading September Introduction Day: Mental Health Awareness
September 10 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Organisations promoting mental health awareness within the workplace has significant benefits to the economy and society as a whole. The cost of mental health problems in lost revenue per year for employers is estimated between £33bn to £42bn.
The main reason to improve workplace mental health is the human cost and how it affects individuals, their families, their colleagues and the wider community. Alison Foster, from Brighter Berkshire, and other speakers will explain how an inclusive culture is beneficial for everyone.
There will be handouts of takeaway sheets of local Reading support group contacts.
Alison Foster: worked as a registered Mental Health Nurse for many years. She moved into management before setting up her own small business in 2016.
