Ethical Reading Webinar: How do you decide what the right thing to do is?

February 15 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Luke will address how to use moral philosophy in the workplace. He will present the two mainstream ways to think about ethics, consequentialism and deontology, and how they can tell us what to do. Consequentialism is the view that acts are ethically permissible (or not) because of their consequences; deontology is the view that there are rules which can require or forbid certain kinds of acts, perhaps no matter what the consequences. Luke will illustrate the difference between them by application to some workplace case studies.
