The role of ethics when making life and death judgements in the modern world…

May 23, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

We, together with Pennington Manches and Grant Thornton, are hosting a seminar on 23rd May in the evening. The topic is The role of ethics when making life and death judgments in the modern world.

In the seminar, The Honourable Mr Nick Francis will explore some of the ethical considerations he faces when dealing with end of life cases. The seminar will help us to learn from the approach people like Nick take to the most difficult ethical decisions when we approach ethical issues and questions in a business context. Since his appointment to the High Court Bench in 2016, Nick has overseen almost every type of family law case and also sits in the Court of Protection. In 2017 he heard the very public and tragic Charlie Gard case, in which the Pope, Donald Trump and social media had a role to play.
